KEELBY CRICKET CLUB

Welcome to the Keelby Cricket Club website. Keelby is approximately 15 miles west of Grimsby. The Cricket Club can trace its origins to 1896, when in a local paper there was mention of a cricket match played on the Village green. Although cricket was played on the green for many years, the club in its current form was established in 1975. Recently, after many years of debate and heated discussion, the club moved ground from the Village green to a brand new sports facility located at the end of Yarborough Road / Stallingborough Road. The Club fields 2 teams in the Lincolnshire County Cricket League, 2 teams in the Grimsby and district cricket League and a team in the East Lindsey Cricket League. We also have a vibrant youth set up, with our young players winning several leagues since the set up some 4 years ago.

CLUB NEWS

Thanks to all who helped with the end of season curry night which also incorporated the presentation of trophies for the season. Congratulations to all recipients.

Next season we look forward to Mark Wade providing his choices of PICKLE for the evening.

Dont forget that help is required for the following 3 Saturdays with "putting to bed" sightscreens and covers. There is also a considerable amount of work to do on the pitch such as mowing, scarifying and top dressing. And if that isnt enough work, the pavilion could do with a tidy, cricket equipment needs to be put away and tiedied up. Please be at the ground for 10.00 am on Saturday 17th September.
